Govt launches GST reward scheme in 6 states, UTs; Rs 30 crore corpus for prize money

The GST lucky draw 'Mera Bill Mera Adhikar' scheme was launched in six states and Union Territories on Friday and the Centre and states have set aside a Rs 30-crore corpus for this fiscal for the reward scheme. Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala said the mobile app for the scheme has been downloaded by over 50,000 people so far.

Revenue Secretary Sanjay Malhotra said the 'Mera Bill Mera Adhikar' GST lucky draw is being launched on a pilot basis in six states and the prize money will be contributed equally by the Centre as well as states.

"GST has benefitted citizens, customers and governments. Revenues are increasing every month and Centre and states have come together to ensure that tax rates comes down under GST," Malhotra said.

As against 15 per cent revenue neutral rate as envisioned before GST launch, the average GST rate today is 12 per cent, he said.

The average GST collection every month this fiscal has been Rs 1.60 lakh crore.

The government on Friday launched the Mera Bill Mera Adhikar scheme on a pilot basis on September 1 in Assam, Gujarat & Haryana and UTs of Puducherry, Dadra Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu.

Every Month there will be 810 lucky draws. Every quarter there will be 2 bumper lucky draws.

The monthly draws include 800 lucky draws of GST invoices of prize value of Rs 10,000 each and 10 draws with prize of Rs 10 lakh each.

While announcing the scheme on Thursday, the centeral government said that it will provide two bumper prizes of Rs 1 crore each every quarter. 

At the same time, many more prizes ranging from 10-10 thousand to 10-10 lakh rupees will also be given to the participate.

 The scheme is being launched on a pilot basis from september 1,2023. The scheme has been implementd in the states of Gujarat, assam ,haryana and union states of pondichery, diu -daman and dadra and nagar haveli.

In Gujarat this scheme was launched by the state minister for finance, energy and petrochemicals kanu desai on 01/09/2023 at 11:00 Am at vapi.

One can participate in this scheme through the application named "mera bill mera adhikar and onlineside.

GST BILL LUCKY WINNER SCHEME YOJANA GUJARAT

under this scheme taxable goods/services under GST Rs.200/- or more purchase bills will be accepted.The maximum bill amount is not fixed. 

A person participating in this scheme can upload a maximum of 25 bills in a month.

 Dt 01//09/2023 and onwards only bills will be recognized and for monthly draw the bills of that month can be uploaded till 5 th of the following month.

Bills with GST :- 

Bills for purchase of taxable goods/ services amounting to Rs 200/- or more be considered valid under this scheme under GST.

Maximum bill amount is not fixed. A person participating in this scheme can upload maximum 25 bills in a month. 

Only bills dated 01/09/2023 and onwards will be recognized and for monthly draw the bills of that month can be uploaded upto 5 th of the following month. 

So this scheme has received good response on the first day itself. Within hours ,6500 people have downloaded this app and uploaded their GST bills.
